Full title: "Game Gear Sonic 2- Scrambled Egg Zone Piano"

Here is a piano/electronic remix of the stage BGM Scrambled Egg Zone from the Game Gear version of Sonic 2.

This is a collaboration between me and John "EspioKaos" Weeks.

MIDI Sequenced by John Weeks. Additional composing and arrangement by Dr. Mack Foxx.

MIDI modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.

I reply to all reviews so feel free to leave one. :)

This is exactly what I was looking for. I was sort of stuck in the midst of making a chase scene in a future animation and I am glad I came across this. The original GG version is to 8-Bit for my idea this will fit it perfectly. Thank you for remaking a childhood song I enjoyed this very much.

Not your best. I'm just gonna have to say that flat-out, this is not one of your best. Everything fits into place as far as the actual song goes, but as far as what it sounds like in those main riffs where the drums and piano are mixed together, it just sounds harshly awkward. This may just be me, but I'm definitely not liking it. Listening the the original and this, side by side, makes me think the original just flows better as far as the beat goes. This doesn't as much, as harsh as that is to say.

Pardon the lower review. C'mon, blow me away again! I'm waitin' for that next hugely awesome mix of yours and John! On to the next song!

Personally, I did not think this remix was nearly as successful as the previous 8-bit Sonic 2 ones John and I put together. Trying to figure out which of my drum kits would work best [Don't have many to choose from on the General MIDI standard] was definitely a challenge and the one I used ended up fitting in the best. Glad you still enjoyed this track and thank you for the great and honest review. :)

Professional! I can't remember that much about my childhood, so I can't recall if I ever made it to this zone on this game (although I don't think I ever did.)

In any event, awesome piece!

DrMackFoxx responds:

Well, Sonic 2 on Game Gear, in particular, was a lot more challenging due to the smaller playing field versus the Sega Master System version. The first boss "Battle" was definitely made quite difficult by the small screen of the Game Gear. After that point, the game was suddenly a lot easier.

Thank you very much for another excellent review and I'm quite happy that you enjoyed this tune! :)
