An oldie but goodie
I have carried around a small collection of your songs on my ipod for years now. This doesn't seem like 2006, but it is. I randomly decided to look you up to see what kind of stuff you've been putting up, and my, your repertoire has grown! However, this is the track that really drew me to you. It's got a good, unique flavor that I would definitely be able to pick out in a crowd, and my favorite from you.
Although these reviews are quite old, I completely disagree with Zedar. I don't think this track tries too hard at all. And it isn't cheese. It feels pretty complete, which is to say I would have nothing to add. On my playlist, Manic Forfeit comes right after this song, and this one would be far more danceable, and I can grasp the melody perfectly. (Manic seems to have snippets of this melody, which is why I compare them.) Five Train commands attention. I am left thoroughly satisfied and entertained. Your sound is FAT. I like the layers, and I like the way that the percussion moves. I find variation to be much more aesthetically pleasing to the ears. It has a good, quick pace, and the end brings the whole production around again. I could basically have this track on repeat for an hour and still be grooving. I wouldn't come back to it if I wasn't tapping my foot to the rhythm. Really. You are for sure one of the better musicians on NG. You, kingbastard/myheadisaballoon, cornandbeans, and doki are the only NG artists I have kept in my library, and if those three can release albums, so can you. Unless you already have in this span of four years and I just haven't heard about it! Why don't you have your own website? Do you go under another pseudonym? I'd like to download your entire discography in one fell swoop, as it's a bit tedious to go one by one on here.
Please keep doing what you're doing. Looking forward to digging through more of your stuff!
