First off, great beat by Shibumi. Very nice.
Scuare's first 16 were great. The punches flowed from one into another. He had good delivery and flow. Liked the letter to the past/don't enter clab trap into white trash hit. I liked it, but the freudian revelation stuff about queers and shit was kind of trite though it had a decent follow through, anyway that stuff gets easily flipped.
So that's what E did in his first 16. Good flips, and an okay hit on youtube account. The E for Emergency B for Bitch stuff was kind of lame...but the Texas flip was a good hit. Back to the trailer with the trophy in my hand/girl call me daddy hit was boss.
Scuare's 2nd 16 was monster though. Good flip on white trash. Sesame Street punch was good. I could look in any direction and find a rapper that's better than you was great punch. Really brought it, had great delivery and flow, awesome rhythms, good close 'The only way you'll win is by asking friends to help again'
Emergency's Sesame Street flip was kinda weak. The only thing you could flip is at burger king was a good punch. The emergency/surgery hit was all right. A little bit weak on the later punches though, didn't feel as much follow through.
Gotta give it to Scuare for keeping at it and having that great rhythm and flow.
Another great one. This competition should be in-fucking-tense next year if we get some of these cats back.
Both of you came hard as hell, but I'll give it to Scuare for being an absolute beast.
Holy shit this was super close. I honestly thought Scuare would just wipe the floor in this one, but then Emergency came with a flow that I've never heard from him before and made it a great battle. All I ever heard from Emergency was his battle with Rav, and to be honest I wasn't that impressed. But yo you made me a believer with this one.
So as far as I'm concerned, this is a draw. I really believe that. This was the closest battle I think I've witnessed yet, and props go to both of you.
Damn, this was a tough decision. I had to listen three times to come up with a vote
I wasn't really impressed with Emergency's last few battles, but I think he really stepped up his game this time around. Both had solid blows and excellent punchlines, and in terms of flow, I'd call it a tie.
My vote, however, goes to Scuare. In almost every aspect of this battle, the two were equally matched. The only category with one clear winner was the rebuttal, which Scuare had, hands down. Scuare only had one chance to rebut, and yet he was able to flip several lines flawlessly. Emergency's flips weren't as smooth, and at one point he re-flipped a line, which in my book isn't a great strategy unless you have something REALLY solid.
Great job to the both of you!
even though I troll and shit I seriously respect any artist out there doing there thing. Scuare came out the gate with dopeness, constant flow switch, and the lyrical ability never wavering. Emergency had a better flow than usual and hung pretty nicely with scuare in most aspects. It took me a long time to finish this review re-listening repeatedly and honestly, I have to give it to the Scuare for just being so constant, while both were dope Emergency had noticeable low points. Still great battle!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
