I really like it! The beginning was awesome, and the name is pretty cool.
I love the starting. It gives a very ominous feel to it, I'm digging that.
The slow build you have following that sounds pretty alright, but then after that, I am sorry to say that you've kinda "killed all interest" by having the pluck tune going on from 1:36 to the end.
With no intermission.
What problems I have with it? I found it very repetitive. I believe you should shorten it.
I've read your description and I am fully aware that your intention of this is to test the sounds and such, but I had to come in from the view that this is a song, not just an experiment. If you dislike that, I apologise. I am just giving my view on it as a whole.
The Blank Beep that plays at the start (0:00-0:13) is good. It is gentle, it doesn't hurt your ears and such.
The kicks, the drum beats that follow right after that, those beats, are strong and, since that's the only thing playing, it is the main focus and it gave off an ominous vibe. Not that it isn't good, but that's how I felt when I heard it.
The cymbals that start appearing from (0:30) were alright, it gave the whole thing momentum, you started going somewhere with it.
The........ Synth? I'm not sure what you call it, it appeared in (0:40) was alright, and it added to the momentum, as well did the cymbals.
The rather like a "screech" from (0:55) were okay, I don't know how to describe it, but it was alright. Not too hard on the ears.
The pluck sound, you kinda used it in the same fashion as "the drums at (0:13)", it is fine, it is strong.
The "ambience thingy" appearing at (2:52), not sure how to describe it, but it was "out of place", awkward. It didn't fit the ambience of the song well, though. I don't know how would you use that one.
A sound is just a sound. There's no wrong or right sounds, but they all give off a certain energy, create a certain ambience. The ominous ambience you created at the start of the whole thing is very good, I really felt it.
Good luck, and I hope I was not typing nonsense that didn't help you.
It needs improvement, but it sounds fine.
keep it up!
