Where's the Map?

Just wanted to make a quick level select/world map based loop!
I haven't really worked with loops much, so it would be great if you could let me know how things worked out! :)

I sat at my computer listening to this clip for an hour straight! This really is some piece of music you got going! When I listen to this it makes me think back to when I was first introduced to videogames. The picture that gets stuck in my head is the classic world map of an RPG such as final fantasy on the SNES. Looking forward to hearing more awesome tunes. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Grimagin, glad you enjoyed the song! :D

You did a great job capturing the essence of a map/inventory/customizing/stage select screen! Oh and WHERE THE F IS THE MAP!?!?

Thank you! :)
As for the Map....your guess is as good as mine.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one, all i can think of is like a menu or a map screen with this music. Great job!

Glad to hear that I accomplished what I set out to do! Thanks! :)

I think you managed your goal nicely. What I don't quite like, if this makes any sense, is the minor tonality (it's a minor scale, isn't it? Been a looooong time since my last ear training session ...). I could be wrong about the source, but there's more tension in the melody line than I would randomly prefer. Key words being "prefer." Probably depends a lot on the context, etc. Anyway, like I said I think you hit what you were going for. It's short and simple, but not obviously/annoyingly repetitive for a menu/map type situation. Good job.

Neon-Bard responds:

Thank you very much Skyood! I can see what you mean by the general 'tonality' as you put it. There was a blend of notes, but most were of the minor scale! :) I tend to place more emphasis on the overall melody of the song than any other portion, which could certainly make things seem stressed. I'm not exactly sure why I do this...perhaps it's just an innate thing. :P

Anyhow, thanks again man!

I think its great especially if you play any SNES or like 64 games still where you still hear that chill music in the backround. This one is like not in your face but its not invisible. Still i am pretty stuck to the Mega Man X songs with the heavy lead guitars.

Thanks a bunch man! :D
I grew up with those consoles, along with the NES, so tunes similar to this were probably ingrained into my head at an early age.

P.S. Mega Man X has some pretty sick music. :)
