A short loop, but quite musically active nonetheless. This was a bit of a test piece to try out new brass and string samples. Listen to that french horn -- is that not awesome? The strings are pretty nice as well, but this is just a tiny *sample* (pun!) of what is yet to come.

Oh yeah, this is extra music that isn't going to be used in the HUGE upcoming Sinjid release. Opps, was I not supposed to say that?

Fantastic piece! Loved the rhythms and string harmonies -- you definitely know how to build suspense in the movements, too.

I've been a fan of your work since playing through the Sonny series; your work was superb there as it is here.

I am wondering if you would share with us what samples you used and where they could be acquired.

Thanks. :)

Incredible loop! I found myself on the third listen through before I realized it had looped. These new samples definitely do this piece justice. Great work, I'll be looking out for more of your music!

Thanks Jeff! I can't wait to get more comfortable with these samples so I can really bring out their potential! Thanks for taking the time to review :)

Wow... I didn't expect this when I saw it was a loop. Reminds me of some of the music in Mass Effect, or some piece from a Warhammer 40K exploration scenario...

Nevertheless, a great submission.

Thanks! Boy, what a couple of 9000/5 votes would do to the score :)

Great piece.
It makes me feel like I'm exploring a dark place with lots of fire, maybe a destroyed spaceship. On reviewing the song, that fits perfectly with the title.
For the looping, you have it perfect on two of the three ends. The intro as seen when you first load the page is great, and the looping really is indistinguishable. The outro as played if you turn off the loop option is good, but it cuts off on a rising note. That's all me and my mostly untrained ear can find wrong with this submission.

Amazing work.

DavidOrr responds:

Thanks Icelaunchdragon! It took me a bit of time to come up with a title for the piece -- I knew what my intentions were with the music, but had a hard time condensing it into a title. Glad you approve :)

Unfortunately, this piece isn't designed as a standalone piece, but as a loop. That would explain why it doesn't sound quite right if you turn off the loop option -- doesn't the music sounds like it's being cut off abruptly?! It's a real shame there couldn't be a "loop" and "standalone" option for uploads, where the artist uploads two separate files. I don't know how many people would take advantage of it, but I know I would!
