Hello there, NG. I was looking through some of the other NGAP submissions (especially those in the Video Games section) and found some people using the Edirol orchestra VST. I liked the sound so much, I decided to grab it and try it for myself.
I've been playing around with some MIDIs I'd had lying around and threw a few into FL Studio to try Edirol out. Then I stumbled upon the bane of my existence -- I mean one of the pieces from FFVII which I've tried many, many times to arrange/remix.
That the sound from Edirol alone is great, I think I'll try this piece again. In the meantime, here's what happens when you throw a Nobuo classic into an orchestral VST.
TIME/TEMPO: 1:45/83 BPM (6/8 time)
KEY: D Minor
SOURCE MATERIAL: "You Can Hear the Cry of the Planet" by Nobuo Uematsu
MIDI TRANSCRIPTION: Ripped from the FFVII PC Version
