Is that 5/4? I'm counting 5. How intriguing. That piano is certainly complex in a minimal kind of way. The whole piece is like that actually. Ethereal and ambient. The one thing I think would make this nicer is a little more percussion. I imagined short cymbal taps or other clicking noise gliding in at one point, acting like a harsh double-time metronome and giving a little advancement on the piece. I would enjoy that, but the song is great as is too. That altered seagulling in the background is eerie and counters the wispy accents and lulling waves well. Wonderful work!

It is indeed 5/4... also completely unintentional! I aren't skilled in the piano but I believe it may of worked in my favor. I do know what you mean, some added percussion would be nice if just to advance the second half as you said.
