Easy Listening - Classical

Author Comments

A short neoclassical piano song. Not much to say about this, other than the kind of odd title which I thought sounded pretty awesome. Hope you enjoy it. Feedback is appreciated. A lot.

The harmonies in this piece are very very nice. But overall, it's a bit too repetitive, though it could make well-standing menu music. The left hand could be expanded on a lot more as well as expanding on rhythms in general. You could perhaps double the song with another instrument like a bell or harp to make the piece stand out, but it's understandable that you'd want to keep it as a solo piano. That key change in the middle is a nice addition as well as the transitioning riffs. It's all a pretty good start.

First of all, thanks a tonne for taking time to review. It means a lot to me!

Now, I can agree with most of the things you say. It might be a bit repetitive, I realize that. About the left hand and the rhythms... To me, how they don't change is essential to this piece and is not something I would like to change. This piece is mainly melodically based.

Doubling the song? Great idea! Perhaps I'll even add some orchestration. Violins are always awesome. I really had no intention as to whether to keep it solo or not, I just made this today when I got bored at the piano, so I'm very open to suggestions.
