Out of boredom, I spent last weekend recording guitar riffs and generally mixing things. This is one of the short pieces I recorded and such. Might upload one of the others later on.

The guitars were recorded through a Line 6 GX (hence the notsohigh quality sound), bass was done through FL slayer, and the drums are all Joey Sturgis samples.

Enjoy, also tell me what you think and any improvements you can think of, I'd appreciate it a huge amount :)

Definitely digging the melody, keep up the good work man!

This is awesome!!! I'd keep this as like an intro or something.

I can see the foundation for your newer piece, the one that follows this one, and you really improved the quality. Not to say that this one is bad, but the quality of the guitar's sound is lower in this piece. I still think the drums need more EQ, but I can't be terribly specific on that end, unfortunately. Definitely keep up the good work. I want to hear you continue to progress.

Could you compose something similar but a little bit longer? I need it for a video I'm making, and sounds perfect!!
Thx :D

Thanks for the kind words!
As a matter of fact i've been working on something with a similar theme for a while, it's hopefully going to be complete sometime this week. I'll alert you when it's online good sir!

I had listened to this and liked it but left and 30 seconds later I had to come back and say...
That was a GREAT piece!!!!!!!!!!
I'm impressed with the sound of the Line 6 GX... and your FL skills are just as impressive...
I myself use a Line 6 Spider IV 75 and love the sound!!!
Thanks for such a nice piece!!!!
