G'day g'day NG,

I was jamming on piano the other week, over at a friend's place while he laid down some epic beats on his drum kit, and I came up with the melody in the bridge of the song there. Since it was a half-tempo beat, I wanted the rest of the song to have a chill yet driving feel to it to compliment the bridge.

So, of course, I picked Trance! :D I haven't done any Trance in a while so this was a real pleasure to do again. I used the same drum samples from the bridge's beat for the rest of the tune and it gave it a nice punchy quality that my beats don't normally have. Although, I did overlay some nice cymbals to help give emphasis to the builds.

Melodically, the entire song is 3 chords. :D I used a fair amount of inversions, strewn throughout the melodies and synths, along with filter & modulation automations to help keep things interesting. I went for a funky kinda bass groove instead of the basic 4/4 because I like to bop. What can I say, I like having low frequencies that sway me.

The title is Seasons because the song feels like Spring when it starts and slowly evolves into Summer then Fall and Winter. I'll let y'all decide which parts are which since it can be open to interpretation! :D Everything was created entirely in Propellerhead Reason 6.

As usual, please rate / review / enjoy!

So clean, so oldschool

So fresh! Very upbeat and well-delivered. I could see this in a game.
