I wrote this piece for a short film a buddy of mine did. He gave me two weeks to score this five minute film of his. I was stuck for thirteen days. Not one note could be written on my paper without me tossing it away. On the night before he needed the music completely finished I was not in the best of spirits. I sat down to watch his film for the millionth time and it just hit me. So here is what came of that evening..
This piece reminds me of a cross between Philip Glass and Erik Satie. It demands attention, yet remains simple enough to dissolve into the background.
