Sounds like something you would hear in a modern coffee house. The way the music pulses really proves a great rythm without relying to much on the drum beat. However, it seems really stuttered too. You need to find a way to unify the song more without loosing that beat. Maybe just have on synth sound (otehr than the solo) that carries through the whole piece.

Also it could be longer. Try dropping out the synth beat to just leave the continuous sound. That will give the listener some relief, and also make it availible for you to bring the synth beat back in later.
