Gold, possibly? (You guys know how the saying goes...)

So, I've just started some serious guitaring here. I mean for a beginner, at least. Sure, it ain't all that and a bag of chips, but hey, it beats where I was a month ago. (A month ago, I was just messing around, nothing upload-worthy.) This is mainly a rough draft, just 3 minutes of doodling around with a guitar and a Macbook. (And I had to use a penny as a pick, which added some extra twang before distortion.)

So last night, I just started messin' around with my electric guitar after thinking for a bit about my college life so far (just a freshie at CCU), about some people I've met and the things I've done with them, and something just clicked in my head, hit some good chord progressions. (Okay, only two or three, but hey, it sure beats none!) Recorded the rhythm, and added a solo guitar on top, which sounds pretty cheesy. (Mmmm, cheese. And macaroni... Dammit, now I'm hungry.)

This has been brought to you by the letters E and C# (haha key snigatures), and inspired by a couple friends of mine, both of which are pretty freakin' crazy awesome (pretty, crazy, and awesome if you want proper English). It's just a work-in-progress by a beginner, so criticize, hate, or love all you want.

Reviews are welcome, as always! :D

not bad dude :]

Although it would have been nice to hear more accompaniment from other instruments; this is nice, and you got the point across.

Some parts are great, and other parts kinda just fall to pieces; don't get me wrong this is a great starting point, but when you know something sound off in the recording... it's always worth it to go back and fix it.

It's really great to hear someone submitting ACTUAL material that they played on an instrument, as that is somewhat of a rarity nowadays so I can't fault you here.

Overall, great effort bro; keep at it!

Thanks dude. Other instruments you say? Well, Firefreezer and I are working on a remake of this. I'm just doing the rhythm guitar and drums, he's doing a lead guitar and piano and bass.

Again, keep in mind this was way early, I practically just got started on guitar, both tracks were done in several takes, still newb-like, so I just said, "screw it, this is probably gonna be the best it will be for a week" and left it as-is. The way I'm playing it now (several weeks later) is at least 10x better.

Thanks for the review, dude! And I'll keep practicing.
