8-Bit Beatdown

This song was written about three years ago for "Professional Quest!!!", an unfinished video game with a ludicrous premise that my roommate and I worked on for a bit. It was used at the end of a dungeon during a battle with the King of Zombies. Hopefully you like it as much as I do.

The song itself is in 5/4 time and includes some nasty synth, some fun syncopation, and a chilling rock organ solo in the middle. Enjoy!!

classic!!

this would fit a modern castlevania boss battle perfectly

Wow, this is great. Would perfectly fit a boss fight.

Speaking of which, and am making a very basic (like, very basic I-just-learned-to-code kind of thing), text-based RPG-thingy and was wondering if I could use this in it. It's definitely nothing big, and I'll probably give it only to some close friends, if anyone (assuming I finish the game). And I'll definitely give you credit.

Not bad, but not 8-bit either

It doesn't sound 8-bit at all. This is at least from the 16 bit era. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome. The organ is excellent. It would be nice if it were featured in a real game, rather than an unfinished one that was just going to be a silly game anyway. It has a great RPG boss feel to it.

GoldenSunRising responds:

Thanks! And yeah, the title isn't really accurate. It just sounded cool in my head, I guess...
