Easy Listening - Classical

Author Comments

2nd version of Melancholia, but in slightly different theme.

Melancholia is more intravertive with focused dramatic emotions of a lonely person stucks in a small place.

Castaway is more extravertive with vast dramatic feeling has given for a person who lost in a vast lonely place.

Exactly same instruments as the previous song, which the guitar and cello pizzicato are slightly louder.

Hope you enjoy this.

So good, just wow. This is why I come to newgrounds, to find music that few people in the world have ever heard. I'm always amazed at how good newgrounds composers are.

Thanks man.

I used to look at the old age of NG, it was much more balanced and better than now. There were tons of geniuses back then, in almost every genre.

Bah! I should stop thinking of the past and move on. I should enjoy what I have now...

Thank you a lot bro. Very glad that you like this song.

Agitat0r responds:

I disagree with the part you say there is no real music. It bugs me, especially the word: 'real'.

There is a different levels between what you see and what you feel on this world. One is reality and one is unreality.

Art, and music are the unreal. Why? because our brain function what it receives and put them together, in another perspective view. We must accept the fact that this song you were listening is just the combination acts of physic, where particle vibrations create sounds from electrical energy's signals through your speakers/head-phones. But physics are so rough, that you want to change the fact, by thinking these sound vibrations, as music.

So, what is real music? There is a paradox here.

:) I was a DJ once. And I thought exactly the same as you did, to Classical music. The ironic part was, I started to compose the genre that I have distanced from!

Anyway, glad you have a chill. Thanks a lot bro.

Quite touching

Amazing how music can effect us on an emotional level.I can see this used when the Credits start reeling down on a film or game. Great work. I'm happy there is also class here on Ng. not just dance - techno etc. (although I love music like that also)

Agitat0r responds:

Music is just another way of communications, just like art, literature, speeches or motion picture. Personally I think music is a great way but easy to communicate with a deeper level than other ways. It can leads you (a) different dimension(s), or your own dimension(s) because it's abstract and surreal. (lol I'm no psychologist)

Thanks man. :) Glad you like it. I like techno and dubstep too.

I liked it

I could feel the embrace of loneliness and it really spoke to me a on a deeper level. Maybe since my life has been like that, can this song speak so vividly, but what I really liked most about it was how the violin gives a sense of longing and the fact that it was completely audible throughout the whole song.

I really enjoyed it, good job again man! You've never let me down.

Agitat0r responds:

The use of violin(or cello) in most of my tunes is the present of hope. Choir is the symbol of sorrow. They both contrast each other but well support each other.

:) We all share the longing, sorrow, depressing and loneliness feelings throughout our life.

Thank you so much for the post, it means a lot to me.
