FFX! YES!
I loved that game SOOO MUCH. Beautiful recreation you've got goin' here. Awesome percussion! You should do more video game theme covers, because this is just plain epic :D
Also known as "People of the North Pole", is the main theme of the eponymous location in Final Fantasy X. Originally made by Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu in 2001, this is my interpretation of that famous track, where I still maintained the original structure and instruments and struggled to achieve a more hi-fidelity sound.
The hardest part was easily the drum work, since the bass drum and the breath-like "cha" sound are unique in the original track and are not part of ANY standard MIDI soundfont. So, I basically had to re-invent them from scratch and, well, although the final mix is on a different depth level compared to the original, I think it is still an interesting experience to enjoy. :)
Feel free to review, comment, rate.

Sometimes I just listen to a track I like and say "Wait, I gotta cover this". Well, that's basically what happened. XD Thanks buddy, it's been a while ^^

Good cover
This is a very good cover. It's close to the original but yet it does have it's own originality, with the drums being a lot deeper than in the original.
However, I think the drums are too quiet (I'm not listening with headphones at the moment, so that may be the reason). They struggle to be heard over the main melody, but sometimes they fail and all that is left is a distant beat in the background, which is a real pity.
Anyway, the cover is still very good.

Yeah, you should definitely listen to it with headphones. I can assure you it's a different experience :)
Thank you for your time and review!

Great cover
This sounds pretty close to the original actually except no wind in the background thankfully making the song all that much better. The tune feels like it gets the main overdrive from the drums too I think making it cool to enjoy. Great cover.
The drums are very dynamic and the tune has a mixed boss feeling about it as well too actually. The violin gives a calm feeling that even though the weather is harsh you can make it to the other side and continue on fighting for Spira and stop Sin once more from destroying the planet. The chorus, bass, and synth I partly hear give a feel of heroic deeds happening too.
Overall, lovely cover, reminds me of how much fun I had playing the game.

Thank you man! I can always count on the RRC.
I had a great time with FFX, I recall, and this is but a little tribute to a great game, not to mention the composers.

Really sick!
I love the tribal sounds from the very beginning, and the strings complement everything very nicely! The slow string progression sounds really brilliant here, and I love how dynamic this piece is; This song would make a sick trance/ progressive house song :]
You really did a phenomenal job in writing this out, and although I'm not familiar with the original... this probably sounds just as good if not better. :]
I honestly don't hear very much that I would change bro!
Can't wait to hear your next one! :D

Woot! Thank you very much :D
I still haven't explored any trance styles, but I think I'll do that in a near future.
Thank you for your nice review!

Fan-tastic!
Like that you kept it close to the original!
For some reason I recall the original having bagpipes, maybe? My memory might be off or maybe I misheard something.
Yeah, the original did have some bagpipes. My bagpipes sounded so horrible that I didn't want to ruin the whole track with those abominations. XD
Thank you ^^
