Interesting :p

You're intro really had me convinced that a big trance break was coming, but what dropped instead seems to be some sort of combo between Arabic scales/ Video game patterns... Which is not bad, but not really what I think you would classify as trance.

Things to take a second look at:
- I really like what you have done with the arpeggiated instruments in the beginning of the song, but they seem oddly mixed as some of your samples sound lower quality than others.
- Your drums are practically non-existent in this track; A good trance song should have a LOT more backbone in the way of percussion

Overall, not bad... but could use some more work :p

Thanks for the review! I'm not good at categorizing things. My apologies if you were mislead!

Good intro

The intro reminded me of some old movies and/or videogames. I don't know why, but it somehow has a very distinctive 80's feel to it.

I was a bit disappointed at first that the song didn't continue with that nice atmosphere, but the spacey and more happy melody that followed after wasn't too bad either.

However, around the 2 minute mark, where that techno-/dance-like melody is playing again after the nice break the song lost a lot of it's appeal to me. But this is just my personal opinion and a matter of taste and it won't reflect the review score too much.
Technically (like mixing, mastering and stuff) the song is very good from the beginning to the end. All the instruments can be heard just fine and I also like that you break up the main melody from time to time.

I also like how the song ends on that hold note. Sounds much better this way than a fade out, in my opinion.

Cosmic travel

No idea why but it was a middle eastern feel but also a very cosmic feel to t. I can just see some kittens on a space ship trying to figure out what to do next until they arrive at a new planet to conquer with their adorable looks. Really great sounding tune though and I enjoy how it seems to be rolling along as well.

The synth that keeps rolling up and going up in triplets sounds really clean but when the other synth comes on it seems to act as a more audible bass line strangely. The main synth kind of makes me think of the desert levels from the early Sonic games too.

The bass line here is smooth and you can hear it having a bit of a bounce but I think it would have been cool to mess with the bass a bit too to see what all could have been done with it too. The drums here are nice and have a smooth beat that rinses over well and makes the rest of the song sound good. Has a constant hi hat hit and the pads and kick to go with it too.

Overall, great cosmic feeling song, really nice on the ears.

Thanks for the review! Kittens in a spaceship? You seem to like kittens. Well, glad you enjoyed it!

Space travel

Hmm, a very nice piece based around what I feel like with space travel - the beats are electronic and the melody seems to flow smoothly, without friction, like travelling through an endless void of space, from system to system, your destination light-years away and some great amount of travel between you and it.

Certainly a track that I would associate with my short tenure on EVE Online, but beyond that, the sound is calm, yet with the driving purpose that the beat gives later on, it comes alive.

A nice melody, though I'd certainly say that you can stand to make this track longer, adding more in the way of variation and seeing if you can take it forward in another way with something else. The quiet patch in the middle was great, though perhaps I'd have just stopped the bassline and gone with the melody at regular volume, rather than cutting everything out and rebuilding the melody into the track, finally bringing the bass back at the end of that segment.

Thanks for the review! Those are some good points, I'll mess with this one a little more.

Middle East Meets Abba!

I like it! I seriously can imagine that if Bjorn & Benny wrote a song about Turkey, this might be it! I can imagine it being a quiet background song for something mystical and/or Eastern - sand and minerets.

I wouldn't change it

Thanks for the review! I like Turkey, both the food and the country! Glad you like it.
