Generic but..

I can dig it. Very crispy mastering, although to the common listener the mix isn't the most important part, it's the melodies they're after. I can appreciate it though :) The drums are superb. Might want to try adding a bit of variety to your sound repertoire though. At the moment all i'm hearing is one lead synth, a bass, and a piano.

Also the bit at 0:52 was a bit awkward sounding as the drums cut out. And again at 1:23

Smooth :p

The piano sounds, synths, and effects all sound pretty nice here. The drums could use a bit more "Umph" for this kind of house music, but I still dug the overall feel of everything. The bass-line came in at just the right time, and really helped breathe some life into this track. The bell-like samples also sound pretty nice here, but the melody that they follow seems like a bit much (makes things sound a tad busy)

Things I would focus more on:
- I noticed that you didn't use many perc instruments, and the overall ambiance of this piece seemed to be a bit stale (Moar percs with delay/ Side-chaining)
- This piece sounds a tad busy in a couple spots due to the lack of side-chaining; Don't be afraid to make your drum samples a little more dominant :)

Overall, great effort bro!

Pleasing

Well this sounds rather pleasing on the ears I think. A really soft piece to help you forget about your worries of the day as well I think. The song just gives a you a big grin on your face while you hear it. Very nice piece of work.

The synth sounds bouncy and really nice on the ears as well. I like the xylophone I hear as well as it sounds pretty nice. The wind was calming. The drums here sound simply pretty good to me as well, not bad at all.

Overall ,soothing piece.

Pretty decent

I don't agree with the first guy at all, it's very different to the shit that's posted here on a daily basis. The effects are nice, it never feels empty throughout the track. I love the piano as well, I also checked out your dubstep on soundcloud, very nice! But anyway back to the track, way better mastered and a much wider field to the mix than all the shit songs on here (which is is pretty much everything, it is very hard to find decent songs on here :P). Overall great job :)

I like the fast piano-ish melody near the end

Welcome on NG, the beginning is quite ugly because it's just a simple synth playing notes which seem random at the beginning. I'd start the song with something else. The fact that the melody is played as an after beat brings a nice effect when you put in the beat. The beat is nice, bass is a bit old school and really not my taste (esspecially because the bass plays afterbeat). What I would like more would be that the bass would just play long notes and would be sidechained with the kick. The song itself progresses to something which is quite nice though.

I kinda disagree with magnetic-memories. This is much better than most of the crap which is sent to NG but it's not like "Wow, very good".

Btw, the voting system on newgrounds is really random and strange, most of the time, the crap reaches the top-5 and best of all time. So if you want some great tracks you'd better check the forums, some contests have some really good submissions.

But, you've got something with potential, keep it up!

Everlist responds:

Cheers for the review mate! Part of the problem here is probably the fact that i uploaded an unfinished track because currently the song sounds allot different compared to the track i have uploaded here.
It has a New intro with drums and fx ect..
I'm addicted to using offbeat basslines, i think its partly because i love Niche and they have that sort of sound.

And its also funny you mentioned the side-chaining because that's exactly what i have done 2minutes into the track for the second bridge.

But yeah, a much more helpfull review than Magnetic-Memories.

Thanks!
