This song is very moving just like all of your songs. some points that I would like to submit.
the first minute of the entire piece was very dark and made me feel like I should go hide in the corner. The low brass gave that feeling that you were just starting to look at a space battle from above. The high brass showed in my mind like you were panning over a huge battle ship that is about to turn the tides of war.
At 1:11 to 1:25
This section to me needs to be brought out a lot more. The low brass was as powerful in this part as they were in the begging.
At :55 to 1:11
This little 16 second time period made me feel as if the other side was winning and hope but then it was destroyed in the next section.
At 1:35 to 2:48
It gave me the sort of feeling that makes me feel like maybe there is some hope in this world and that mabey we could win this battle. It felt like there was too much hope.
Remember you are the composer and we are critics, don't take this as "I love your song but you did this wrong" I believe that you have made a beautiful piece of art work worthy of the big screen.
As always and forever shall be I am the THE WHITE KNIGHT! and will serve however I can.
I HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE!
reviewing your songs make me feel like a noob
i love that really low brassy sound,
not sure if bass trombones can reach that
maybe those tibetan long horns
can, thats the first thing that pops
up in my mind lol (me being tibetan...)
wow this is so intense
the french horns are fantastic
they swell to give off such an amazing effect!
my favorite part would have to be
1:56 to the end
its so, not too malevolent like the first minute,
but... more pensive kind of in a way.
great job dude
You have no idea how much im enjoying these
Okay, so this is the real battle cue, heh, and its awesome.
There were sections in here Edgen, that I felt were not very malice filled, as an impending hostile force should be.
time 1:56 - 2:17
I felt that this segment, was not hostile enough. I believe you were trying to give the feeling of hopelessness and depression, and that sense, that segment works wonderfully, heh, but I have neither made music for a movie, or for that matter, even a full game, so chances are, I am incorrect on my analysis.
1:11 - 1:15
these four seconds were very VERY powerful in my opinion, and I would have loved to hear you expand on this part, I felt that this small yet effective segment provided an AWESOME feel of invincibility, of an epic war.
1:41 - 1:55
Again, this small segment, was the most moving. It gave me the image of the unstoppable march, which I suppose would be the perfect transitional image for the first point I had made.
Maybe its because I listened to your K&K songs too many times, but I keep seeing medievil forces at war here, knights in shiny armour floating around in space... that is indeed an image worthy of making a movie out of XD.
Thats my 2 cents Edgen, as always, good stuff. 5/5.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
