This song was fun to make, but also a bit tricky. It has 3 measure phrases, which is a bit unusual. Overall, though, I'm rather satisfied with how this one turned out.
At around 56 seconds in, an instrument comes in that sounds a bit like a xylophone. It's the Plucked! synthesizer from FL Studio, and it's arpeggiating octaves rapidly. I liked the effect, so much so that around 1:23 I juxtaposed the normal synth with the 3 measure phrase against the Plucked! with a 2 measure phrase. That was fun.
I do worry that the kick drum is a bit overpowering, but I would rather have too much than too little.
Oddly enough, unlike the other two, this one seems to have been an original composition. Wikipedia suggests that it was by Hirokazu Tanaka, but I can't find anything to confirm it.
And, of course, criticism is welcome. What could I have done better? How could song be made better? What did you like, and what did you dislike? Go on, share.
