My mom wanted a more refined acoustic version of this song, so I figured it was the least I could do before heading off to basic training. Hope you all enjoy the song, should be a few more on the way.

Lyrics -
Just one more year and life is going by too fast, falling behind like all the - rest of you will live to see the end, while life for me has yet to begin.

I've spent seventeen years in this state of mind. I look to the future but I'm still blind. My gestation period has come to an end, I'm not programmed to follow your trend.

I can't help but think that I'll be here forever, I'll make it out with this endless endeavor. I'm strong enough to hold my own, for this is the purpose that I have grown.

Oh I won't go down, I'll always press on.
Oh I won't go down, I will persevere.

I like it!

The lyrics are pretty good (perhaps a little cliche), and the singing is great. I like how you have a fairly relaxed singing style, it doesn't sound too posey and has a natural tone to it. The guitar isn't all that exciting but it does the job. The recording quality is pretty good and i like the parts with you doing background singing for yourself. The chord patterns are nice and the song structure is varied enough to stop the song getting too stale. Nice work!

Really like the harmonized vocals. This is really high-quality too. The lyrics are really nice, pretty thoughtful, which is nice. Great song dude.

Meow :D

I found this track, and then went back to listen to the other track. They both are very acoustic, but this one is much better produced in my opinion.

Your voice seems to be more better placed in this one, plus I think you did a superb with the harmonies.

Bravo on the song, if it's any sort of encouragement, I plan on adding this to my roadtrip playlist.

Good luck for basic training, and thank you for serving your country. It is so greatly appreciated.

Thanks once again for this wonderful piece, and best wishes.
