An Original Piece.

I made this piece back in June and it was intended for a Metroid album on OC Remix that I was invited to join in on but sadly was unable to get back in contact with the guy, so I will be releasing it here on Newgrounds. I was holding onto it for a while now and thought, "man... it would be a good time to release it", since the album was going to be released this month anyways.

I feel that I have captured many of the Metroid elements with this piece and hope that you all can pick them out as well. All I can do hope that you all enjoy this piece as much as I do. Be sure to tell me your thoughts on it as well because I would like to hear what you all think about it.

why do you people on newgrounds always make the beats so effing loud?
anyway, this sounds more like lostkingdoms then metroid. lol

not bad not bad at all but needs more kick and pazza.

not quite what i was expecting

not bad... but needs more of a kick

ChaosDragon004 responds:

I'm actually working on that. I'm picking up some EQing tips right now and hope to drop something awesome on you guys soon.

Well...

Don't take this as an overly harsh criticism, but your music needs more "OOMPH!", in my opinion.

I've listened to this track, and a few others on your submissions list. While the music DOES indeed follow the theme and style of Metroid, and is well written, this and a few of your other songs could use some sharper, accented tones.

Honestly, whenever I hear a traditional instrument in your music, it sounds weak and soft. And by weak, I don't mean low volume. It sounds like someone is purposely being light on the instrument (like "talking" as opposed to "announcing"). Talking is good for some instruments in some places, but for other deeper tones, a more forceful announcing sound is more realistic.

I know there's a limit to what you can do with synthetic instruments, but this is MY take on your music.

You do good work! Kudos!

ChaosDragon004 responds:

This is what I need to hear! See I would have never known about this and I have you to thank. I will look into this and see what I can do to fix it. Hopefully when I do, it will take my music to the next level and we can turn that 8 into a 10.

Thank you again bro, and please continue to give your honest thoughts on my pieces.

Has that metroid feel!

Fo' sho'. Loving the vocal track.

I am aspiring to start a radio show on our local indie station playing nothing but video game music, music with video game samples, and video game music remixes. If I can get this show off the ground, would you mind if I played your track on air? You would get full credit for the track :)

ChaosDragon004 responds:

I wouldn't mind at all. I make music so others can enjoy it. What you want to do will achieve both of our goals. Glad you liked the song .
