You're being too hard on yourself, it's not monotonous at all. It might have dragged a bit in the beginning, but around the 1:00 mark I really started to like it.
I think one thing that might help it move more is to drop some of the voices out at some point; you basically keep the same instruments the entire time. Give the strings a break :P Especially for the part around 2:48, it could help if maybe the strings dropped out 10 seconds before that, so that when they came back in at 2:48 it would make that transition REALLY stand out and give it some power. As an example, you drop out the low strings during the violin solo after the three minute mark; that contrast helps to keep the interest of the piece moving.
Again, this a really great, and not really boring at all. Little things could be done to make it better, but as is it's great.
Nice, thoughtful piece.
Beautiful stuff. Reminds me of The Witcher's soundtrack. (Particularly the one by the docks).
Thanks.. can't recall much of my impressions on the soundtrack right now, but I'm thinking of rerunning TW and finally playing TW2, if I do I'll be sure to keep my ears open!
Nothing much for me to say, I love this kind of music , great composition man :)
Thanks a bunch! If you like this you'll probably like my submission to the RAC7(represent a country)-competition, check it out if you feel like it, it's my latest submission :)
Remember those who have gone beyond the horizon, who struggled in life and in death, that comment below by the last gaurdian was very moving, and this song has evoked many emotions that we all try to hide.
Thanks for the inspirational comment! :)
