I've always loved the original.
I loved your remix, it was great, but it could use some small improvements. For example, I recommend not using a sax vst, it doesn't sound very good.
Also, you could have some notes to play longer. For example at 0:29, there are some notes that have very short note measure, leaving a small gap of silence. Try to make those notes longer.
Great remix nonetheless, nice work! :D
As you, I also prefer the original. I didn't want to improve it, just make a remix.
As a lot of people has told me about the sax vst, I think that it would have been better if I hadn't used it. u.u'
The notes you hear in the 0:29 are low sounds of the trombone, instrument that sounds in all that passage and in more of them, but I admit that it can mostly be heard in that part of the song, but it was of the instrument, not made by me purposely.
And lastly, thank for your compliments, I'm so glad you liked it!
THANKS FOR REVIEWING! n_n
I must say,
this is an excellent piece.
"Hope you like it" Naw mate. Who wants to like this when they can love it? Going to my fav. 10ed and 5ed! :D
Thank you so much for that comment xDD
I like this arrangement. The instruments sound good (the sax is a bit unrealistic but it's hard to find a good softsynth). Overall I'm impressed.
Thanks, cyan11. The saxo is quite unreal, but some orchestras have saxos in them, but better than the one I used :S
Thanks for reviewing n_n
Oh man, I've been waiting for something like this.
Holy crap, I'm -not- the only one on NG who knows anything about Renard's music. Rainbow Tylenol is one of my favorites from his Kitsune^2 pseudonym...
It's a little muddy at the start with that low part, since the notes are so low and come so quickly and that's hard to emulate clearly with strings, but this is really well put together for a synth orchestra. The sax threw me off because it sounded so sharp in contrast with the orchestral stuff happening beforehand... what I could suggest to make the orchestra's notes sound sharper and have more kick is using more percussion like cymbal hits or something, or just making the instruments sharper in general somehow... I don't claim to be an expert on these things, though, I only use famitracker rofl.
Either way, this is going on my player definitely. Epic props for this.
Thank you very much for your review
I know that the sax fits a little strangely in there, but I liked how it sounded, even if it wasn't really classical. Although, some orchestras have saxos in.
About adding more percussion, the orchestral one that I have was very unreal and that's why I only put the timpani.
Anyways, thanks a lot for reviewing again n_n
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
