Being a huge fan of Goa and Psy trance myself, I can hear many great things from this track. You some how managed to catch a mix of both in this song, something I haven't heard before. There's a goa background going on, but then leading melody is a mix between trance and psy trance as it flows in and out of happy and sad sound waves. I was very surprised to enjoy this track so much! That break down in the middle and the vocals through out the song were spot on. You've managed to successfully break away from the norm with this song my friend, keep it up. Much better than "Banshee."
totally agreed, Banshees was a piece of shit - I gave up on it halfway through, but then decided to finish it purely out of boredom. but then again, that's how most of my tracks get started. in any case, I very much appreciate your reviews - you seem to have put a lot of thought into them!
i think the theme at :59 could have come after the staggered sample thing earlier.
Yes, but you see the problem with that is then the song wouldn't be 4:14 long. And I go through 8-bar progressions in which I add claps/snares, and then hats. If I introduced the theme earlier, I wouldn't have enough time to play the tonic bass progression with hat support. Infected Mushroom somehow manage 8 minutes of shit, so I should be aiming for that, right?
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
