Jeez, it's been forever since I posted something. Well here it is. Part inspiration, part experimentation. I haven't really been using the full potential of percussion, and I decided to give it a try. I think it turned out pretty good.

I like it

~~REVIEW~~
this was pretty decent, it has a sorta techno feel to it, and has a nice build up aswell, also sorta reminds me of the old transformers before the movies, so it does have a good presentation, but also needs something to push it over the edge, like with the build up push even more build up in there, have it go abit longer building upto, just a thought though other then that this was pretty good and straight forward.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
so as mentioned, above could use more enhancing on the build up.

Needs a little bit more Sugar & Spice

The part of this music that I liked the most, was the way that parts of the mix would drift in and out of the background, it gave me this feeling of when you're doing one thing but your mind is elsewhere in a land of its own. The choice of instruments was good; the beat was steady and kept me listening. The multiple layers kept me interested on several different levels.

I found that the music was a bit repetitive from time to time. I would have liked to have heard more variety in terms of Texture [different combinations of instruments] and Melody.

I think the Bass could have benefited from a bit more of a punch, I love the beat yet I want to really feel it hit me from time to time.

I feel that a few more musical SFX would have been a nice addition - to add to the atmosphere. I once made a piece similar to this [It was Dance style, same sort of tempo]. For the background layer I recorded a thunderstorm from the inside of an insulated metal box. I then took that recording and reverbed it until it had a very nice ambient feel to it. This then served as a perfect atmospheric layer that just filled in all the little gaps in the music so that there was always this sense of vibrant activity.

I like the energy and constant upbeat nature of this track. It is uplifting and makes me want to do something. Yet I can't see myself remembering this music when I walk around, the tune wouldn't catch in my head. A stronger melody would make this more memorable.

Nonetheless, in spite of all this, the music is well worth listening to.

Keep up with the Ear Candy ^_^

I would love to use custom sfx in my music, but unfortunately I've got no decent recording equipment :(
I've noticed a lot of people who have pointed out the lack of an outstanding melody. I'll definitely keep that in mind for my future works. Anyways, thanks for the review, and hopefully my three help you out!

Brightened up my day.

This track is really nice. It's really uplifting. It's so bright that it blinded me. Luckily I know my way around a keybaodl, so thst I cqn rtveiw htis smazign snog.

The transitions were really smooth. All of the synths really seemed to fit together, nothing seemed out of place and nothing ruined the flow of the song. I especially like the piano. The filter is great, too.

The only real complaint is the repeating repetitive repetition. You need a little bit more variety. Maybe some other instruments, too.

I loved this song, and I hope to see more from you in the future.

Thanks for the review, hope my three help you as well!

Impressive

You had me from the intro on this one, a really great piece.

The intro is just great, it builds up perfectly and is a sneak peek into what's coming your way in this track. Synths are great, and I love the piano playing as well. The backing synths and ambient sounds in the back really help flesh out the entire track. It's really fast-paced, with pounding rhythmics that make sure it stays at the same pace.

There's some nice variation with really nice transitions between sections. The ending was really good, IMO, going out with a bang is always a nice way to end an explosive track of this kind.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked it, and I hope you like the three reviews coming your way.

only thing i can see makeing this better

is play with panning more , filter works nice! kicks are nice! sounds like its lacking a touch of bass! 2 30 + needs a bit better break down and wind like impact sound playing with filters and panning and a sharper lead around 3 30 (maybe its just the q drop ng dose)and i cant really tell if theres a pattern to the song or if its randomness, but thats nothing importent unless ur playing at clubs but the main fix id make is the break down
5/5

TheBellmaker responds:

Thanks for the review! I usually don't toy with panning, I just think it sounds weird. Usually my songs don't have much pattern to them either. Three reviews for you coming right up
