Silensay - Control (Demo)

And so, after giving up on the monstrosities I was making on FL Studio, I went silent for a few years. I occasionally poked notes and octaves at P.H.Dill's music, but acted as nothing more than an uninformed editor.

Well, thanks to the aforementioned and almighty P.H.Dill I decided to try again and see what I can come up with. He introduced me to FL10, as well as a plugin called zebra.

After numerous zebra plugin breaks and consequent squeaky notes I'm putting up a demo of what will (possibly) be my reintroduction into the music scene.

This (whatever it is) will have vocals; ones singing lyrics that I've already written down, and yet to record.

I stand by my motto "I put a bunch of sounds together and call them music".

Please note, as the name suggests, this is a demo. Not entirely sure when (and if) I'll complete it, as I am in the middle of job training as well as other humanoid bullshit. The completed versions will also include proper envelope rises and falls, side-chain compressions (suggestions regarding which layers I should compress are welcome), and other mad shenanigans. Oh, and the vocals that I've already mentioned.

Unique

Hey man, noticed this on FB...

Gotta say, this doesn't sound very generic at all, wouldn't be able to guess which program you made your music in. :)

Glad you got back into the music scene.

One criticism, i think the beginning is a little weak.

Definately a video game song.

Well done! XD

Silensay responds:

I totally agree on the beginning. I'm thinking about an envelope fade-in on the bass.

You need to come over sometime.

(note to everyone else, this is the P.H.Dill I was talking about)
