Inspiration "tonic" and fun homage video remix! =D
Here is a song from the heart. =)
While growing up me and my brothers and sister were
raised learning how to use the Tandy 2000 [an old IBM computer].
In fact, I can recollect asking one of my brother's as well as my father
[E.Y.N.B. dad =)] "What does that do?" pointing to a mouse! [! XD]
This was before windows when you would typle "C:>CD/" and the
name of the program path on this pitch black screen with a
single "C: Prompt" all in DOS. If the computer language was not
known--then starting an .exe [execution] file was not doable.
Later, we had a great deal of fun playing on a green-screen //C
Apple computer [FAR from an iMac o.o] and Miss Pacman and a
VERY early "RPG" style game as well as a "Typing Trainer" were
among my very favorite gaming memories. =)
Nintendo NES, Sega Genesis [after Playstation was released]
Playstation [after DreamCast was released], Sega DreamCast
[after.. you get the point =3]; at the time I did not ever think about
just how much time we were spending doing things our parents
would not have ever dreamed of. Likewise... I did not ever anticipate
that Palfrey and Gasser would write "Born Digital" and slap the label
"Digital Native" across people like my family and later in life--my friends.
This song was inspired by viewing the interview of Alexandra Robbins
who is author of a book I am still yet to read: "The Geeks Shall Inherent The Earth."
The name of the song came to me as "To The Geeks (Awesome)"
and I composed it after viewing the inspirational "You've Got" interview
author Alexandra Robbins. I thought it would only make sense to after
creating the track--to mix it with part of the inspiration [the "tonic" I call it =3]
which guided and brought the music into manifestation. Please enjoy! =D
This one came out fo left-field! =)
One HUGE point that added to the "tonic" which guided the inspiration to
complete creating this song is that Alexandra Robbins apparently speaks of in
her book about what she calls a "Quirk Theory."
For as long as I can remember, I have been calling my music Dance-Quirk.
So homage was most certainly a desire after completing this original mix. =)
Thank you to all contributes and awesome people! Stay amazing everybody! =D
Became a member of AOL's You've got Facebook because of the interview video. =)
So far only seen this one other which was "You've Got: Dolphins!"
Glad I happened upon the website at the time when done--otherwise
this song may not have ever come into existence. =)
Please enjoy the music music! ^_^
If you'd like also feel free to enjoy the video.
Stay Awesome everyone! =D
