Wanted to do another Banjo-Kazooie song, but couldn't think of a good one offhand, until ShadyVox suggested Gobi's Valley. I was a little unsure at first, since it's very fast and would be difficult to vocalize most of the time. Once I thought of putting sound clips of the character "Rubee" in the faster parts, the wheels started turning and the rest of the lyrics practically wrote themselves. Enjoy!

Down in Gobi's Valley there's gonna be a lot to see, 'n
Down in Gobi's Valley I'm gonna take trip around the other side of,
Every single pyramid peakin' up into the sky, 'n
Sitting on the ground a guy caught my eye, he said...

Down in Gobi's Valley I never would'a thought I'd see, but
Down in Gobi's Valley that solitary stare, it's gazing right back at me,
I know that the camel he'd, not even know what to do,
That's why I'm havin' trouble explainin' to you.

All he was say~ing was...
No matter what I just couldn't make out,
What he was say~ing, just...
After the glancing, I just started dancing 'n
Maybe that's, better than...

Down in Gobi's Valley there's still a whole lot to see, 'n
Down in Gobi's Valley I've realized the sands are very, very lonely.
Even though the denizens only wanna kill me dead,
I know in Gobi's Valley I've found a friend.

That's what I was trying to say but, I just couldn't communicate back the proper way.

Down in Gobi's Valley I learned a lesson that I won't...
Forget in Gobi's Valley it's very, very simple, lend me all yer ears 'n
Just remember what I say, just as he had told to me,
From all the normal speaking we must be free.

That's what he meant, he said...
If you don't think about it, it's simple.
Clear out your mind and say...
Take any stance and you'll soon start to dance and you'll
Understand, like that man...

Why didn't you include the "Goody goody gooden" in the lyrics? Then again, I'm not even sure if that's what he said. It was certainly something in stereotypical Indian. Well, I'm sure the original game was like that. I appreciate how you use your voice. You're so good with singing.

This certainly seems like something from that game. I know so much about it now, but have never played it. The instrumentals are great too. I like how you describe the game's actions. It was just a fun song.

Great job, great song, great game, but never seemed able to beat it.

So awesome

Awesome, with one annoying problem.

I really love this song. The lyrics are exceptional, and it's very original. Nostalgic, amusing, and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

That said, there is one major problem that makes it difficult for me to listen to this for an extended period. The reverberation/echo/wavering of the voice for several parts of the song were very grating. I'm not sure if it was for effect, an error in arrangement, or an error on the effect; but the song would have been much better without it.

The articulate, clear singing at the very beginning would have been much more pleasant in my opinion. There is probably a way to make the singing style used in the middle of the song sound great and fit well, but here it just doesn't.

Still though, great writing, superb idea, and execution that can't do justice to the other two.
