Easy Listening - Jazz

Author Comments

This song is written in 5/8, in groups of five bars,
wich somehow defies the more natural four bars form that we are used to hear..
It uses E dorian, B eolian (minor) and G lydian scales...

And if you are wondering, that 8-bit sounding ostinato that goes out throughout the song is supposed to be a marimba, but it doesn't sound like it 'cause i don't have a decent soundfont - I'm working on that...

Gear used:

Sibelius 1.4 - composing
Direct MIDI to MP3 Converter - converting

Hope you enjoy, please rate and comment...

nice midi tune

Writen in 5/8 times? Nice. that imspires me to try the same, for I haven't tried this yet.

Who cares if it's midi? It's composed well, and it sounds good enough for me. Just because you have the best sounds in the world, it won't make a difference if you don't compose properly.

Nice work. keep it up.

and it's nice of you to be so positive on my work...inspires me to continue... ;)
