The original idea behind this song was a cha-cha that turned into something more. I decided to incorporate my style of hardcore rock/metal and progressive rock with the elements of southern/blues rock. I tracked and recorded all the instruments myself. Pretty Good

Deadly, I like your sound, but I think you could do better. I know your music is supposed to be "Heavy Metal", but I think it would be best, in my opinion to some times throughout your songs to change the sound of your guitar and also add a few extra notes to make your music have an appealing emotion. Like in this song, I can't really tell the emotion of the song because the guitar is, well, how could I put this... rough and it stays the same. If that's what you want, usually you would have a singer telling the emotion of the song, but this is instrumental, you need to put some thing more into it, that's my opinion though, change how the second or first guitar sounds and the drums. Any way keep rockin' on.

deadlyfishes responds:

My music isn't all supposed to be heavy metal. I do every style from Jazz, pop, hip-hop, orchestral, all sub-genres of rock and so much more. It's all on my website: matthewpablo.com Anyways, I sort of understand what you're saying and where you are coming from but what you're suggesting is probably an idea for a whole new song. Each song and piece of music (or art) has it's own set of goals and achievements. I was trying to incorporate elements of hardcore (or post-hardcore) with prog-rock drumming styles, blues/southern rock and of course metal. This is the exact sound you would expect to hear after knowing what I was trying to do when it came to the production of this track. If you could understand that my intentions were different than what you wanted to hear then maybe you'd see my point. Also, I have vocals for this song, but I prefer the instrumental. I'm a very experienced musician as a composer and a performer and when it comes to these things I know what I'm doing and what I'm talking about. thanks for the feedback and the review. Like I said, check out my website for ALL of the many styles of music I make.

I was looking for a rock/metal song to write an in depth review of for college about how I would produce it differently and the songs flaws etc... Turns out I can't use this song because it's just too good.

deadlyfishes responds:

Haha, thanks for your review. Couldn't you write about good musical elements about this song, and what you personally would do differently and not necessarily focus on negative points? Anyways, thanks again! Check out the rest of the stuff on my Audio Portal Page and my website which is in the description of the song. If you need any help with music let me know, I'm a music major :)

Digging the name going for the dimebag riffage? Just missing the awesome dimebag shred :( Good stuff sir! Check out our stuff its different from yours but still metal as F**K!
