Redse7en responds:

That sorta thing is the best thing a DJ can hear from his fans. Without that, a DJ gets lost in a sea of doubt and lack of motivation.

My favorite newgrounds song!

Hey whats up redSe7en, actually i wanted to ask you what would be a good way to get started as an artist (as far as programs / equipment goes), and so i posted on my fav. song of urs : ).

basically its my dream to make techno, and i think i could, but im really not sure where to start; what programs do u use? how much do they cost? do u use ur school equipment? etc. etc...

anyway, freefall really is a good song, especially when turned up a bunch of decibels (it rocks the house), but of course it would sound better finished. no pressure : )
a little variety would help too

thanks -jetjc

Redse7en responds:

Glad to hear your favorite song off newgorunds is by me! Wow that made me feel good, anywho I'll tell you everything I use. I use Fruity Loops 6 and Audacity and have used Music Maker 10 and Reason. Other than that you dont need anything else to be at my skill level. I can't Dj at a club live or anything cause FL would be almost impossible to work live. Check out www.fruityloops.com for price details. My idea of both Fruity Loops and Reason is that Fruityloops is to Adobe Photoshop as Reason is to Adobe Illustrator. I love messing with sound clips and making them sound nothing like what they were before. I also add lots of free .wav packs found off the internet and play with those. Those free sites can be googled or asked on the audio boards. I'll mess with those sounds all day long to come up with something no one has ever heard before because leaving them the same would sound very unorigional. I sugguest Fruity Loops and Reason later on when you become more advanced than me :) Play with as many knobs and find out as much as you can and only submit your best stuff. Tell yourself each time that you can be better and you will be. If you still wanna know more you can message me on aim to Red7dj. Heck you can just talk to me I dont care, I'm not as popular as you think yet :P

Good stuff!

with the title, I got the image of a man just falling down a really deep tunnel, with lights just whooshing by. He had a purpose, but who knew why one jumps thousands of floors straight down to the dead core of the world ^^.

Again, strange visions, I get them all the time from listening to music, you'll have to forgive me.

The saw was well utilized, all hyper, in my face, and yet flowing smoothly enough to enjoy to its maximum potential!

I'm not a big fan of fading endings, its just my personal preferrence, still to each their own ^^, don't take that as criticism, thats just me, so I will not hold that against you.

Volume levels were done well

hmmm, I have nothing really to add to this, I feel its plenty fine the way it is.

5/5 from me Redse7en, keep them coming ^^.

Redse7en responds:

Wow I love how you can come up with a story about a song just like that from your images. No reason to be sorry for anything!

I appreciate all the compliments and the carefully thought critique! I dislike fade endings as well cause they leave a ring in my ear. I lost some of the origional sounds and did not have time to go through it to work the second part. I thus then ended my exported mp3 with a fade :( I will keep it on a mental note and keep trying! Your reviews definately help.

Hey, prety nice yet again ^.^ I like the dark kinda sounding melodie. Works pretty well. Keep it up talantedness heh. 5/5

Keep it UP!
Oh and Daagah Yeah lots of people are awsome with Fruityloops, B0UNC3 for examample :) I also use FL but not very well

Redse7en responds:

Heh thanks a bunch I will definately try and keep up my uniqueness. I have a unique track I've been working on behind your back which will make you either say OMG or OMG

This is

Fucking awesome! I don't get how you can make stuff like that in FL studio..

Redse7en responds:

Years of practice and willingness to learn pays off definately! FL is just like Adobe photoshop. You can never stop learning. Everything always looks or sounds different with the presence of something else!
