That was fanatastic!

Reminds me of some good Xploding Plastix songs. Just the inspiration I needed (until 3:49)! I feel like that synth voice doesn't mesh with the rest of the song (maybe something a little softer?). If you let the bassline play for a little bit and slowly fade in that synth, it might fit better. Maybe that synth should slowly creep in around 4:18 to transition into the next part. That synth voice just is not my favorite... Great song! I can still rock out to the first 3 1/2 minutes!

InvisibleObserver responds:

Sweet sort of. Its almost like two different songs cut off at that point. Beginning half being down tempo, second being more fidgety/dance oriented.

I'll have to checkout Xploding Plastix, I'm not familiar.

I like

Grooovvvvyyyyyy

InvisibleObserver responds:

Groovy and grovel in my mind are similar words with such different meanings.

People can call me one and do the other in my presence...

But which is which? Dun dun duhhhh.

Awesumo

Clear production, and what it makes up for being repetitious is of course the variation, from the drums to the filling/background notes, my favorite part is right at the beginning, the breakdown at :32, the drum solo until :45, where you reintroduce that xylophone, it reminds me of Bonobo, really smooth, and emotive, you could loop that section and it would fit just about any menu theme. Bass could use a little more kick, but pretty damn good, and simple

InvisibleObserver responds:

Thanks Erkie, this is in a lot of ways the exact kind of review I was hoping to see when working on this song. Its like a check list of things I got right. :D

Nice

I liked it but it seemed repetitive to me, still enjoyable. Not the best song you have uploaded but I still liked it. Good job can't wait for more from you.

InvisibleObserver responds:

Thanks for dropping a line. This song started off as a conceptual voice manipulation test (the goofy main instrument). Then later I figured I'd expand on it and play around a bit with a more pop-ish or recognizable song progression. While it does repeat elements, I worked hard on adding subtle variation between and within the 'chorus' sections.

A lot of people have stated this seems not very IO-ey. I guess its too happy. :P

happy and enjoyable

Something to cheer me up after a crappy day. Not something entirely of my tastes but still a good song nonetheless. Surprised to see another song by you so soon too. Evolving as always, amazing as always.

InvisibleObserver responds:

Its not entirely of my own tastes either. :P It was a bit of a flex to write. Nice to know it was a bit of a pickup for you.
