Normally I trash you guys...

but this song wasn't that bad. It would have been borderline good if the guitar didn't suck so bad. My advice take guitar lessons, if that dosent work than find a new instrument. The singing was pretty bad in the begining but towards the end it got better. I really dont see how you guys had over a three with this song. TRY HARDER!!!!

MembrsOfBushWhackers responds:

The guitar was just kind of thrown together based on a guitar notes chart. I don't really play guitar. I only wrote the guitar part because the BWs rarely record together. I felt I needed to submit something new since Teddy and Collin had both done new songs, so I just wrote some simple music to go with it. If we ever record a final version, I hope someone else will write a new lead guitar for it.

BTW, to the previous reviewer, I actually do have a basic sense of musical timing. Most of it is in a basic 4/4 timing, I think. Count 1-2-3-4 throughout the song and you'll see if fits pretty well. The timing falls apart at the solo which I partly made up on the spot since I couldn't remember and hadn't practiced it. I didn't have time to play it perfect so I just submitted it since it was BETA anyways.

This was pretty bad

First and foremost, I would not classify this as 'general rock'. This is in no, way, shape or form anything like general rock. Secondly, it was pretty bad. Don't get me wrong, I admire you for trying and writing a song, but quite frankly it is a bad song. It sounded like a 2 year old was playing the guitar. When there were no vocals you could hardly hear the guitar which, might I add, was sloppy and out of time to say the least. The vocals were the highlight of this song, and were enjoyable for the first 30 seconds or so. Who ever sang can almost hold down a decent note, but it's easy to tell they can't sing. It went way too long, and was extremely repetative. The way I see it you have 2 choices: Have a short song that repeates the same 2 parts for the whole song, or a long song that has many different parts. You don't write a long song with only 2 riffs. The guitar was also very boring. BETA luck next time.

Holy Crap! A completely fair, accurate, truthful review! That's gotta be a first.

I don't play the guitar and have little sense of musical timing. I'm not really a musician, I prefer writing lyrics, though since our band rarely works together (we're cousins), I end up doing the best job I can with the music.

The ending was really too quite, I should have fixed that on goldwave, though since I had already decided to classify it as BETA, I didn't take the time.

You probably thought the singing was only enjoyable through the first 30 seconds since that's the only part of the song I really had memorized. I had a small window of time to record the song, or wait a month, and didn't really have time to work out/practice/memorize the rest.

As for the length, I based it on the lyrics, which kinda had a slightly hypocritical meaning to them. I tried to switch up the guitar after the third verse, though again, I don't really play guitar, I was basically looking at an online note chart and trying to come up with something that sounded good.

Though as for this not being "general rock", I don't know where else you'd classify it. I see "general" as meaning it covers a wide variety. I saw this category as most suiting for the song.

Anyways, thanks for the review.
