mistitled, unnatural, unreal synth, good quality
Originality: It sounds like any "wasteland" song, really. The only difference between this and a song from Perfect Dark is that Perfect Dark added upbeat percussion. I can't find anything that stands out in particular. It doesn't really come across as a song of wrath, either. Perhaps some more percussion might help. +1 of 2
Musicianship/Skill: I was getting into it right up until the higher synth stabbed my brain. The piece makes a realistic reorchestration except for that synthed part at 1:38 (really, 1:26, but it's not as bad there). Finally, unless this king is the leader of a barren, wintry wasteland, I can't see him as being angry. More like depressed.
Cohesiveness: Again, that synth part just shocked me out of concentration. I spent the rest of the piece thinking of that and not focusing on the music. +1 of 2
Quality of Track: I assume this was not recorded with a microphone, so there shouldn't be any problem with it, and I didn't find anything. A big thing that many video game reorchestrators face is ending smoothly and creatively. Many just end without an ending. Your ending, however, was nice and orderly. Good job rising above the crowd! +2 of 2
Misc. & Opinion: This track didn't stand out to me. I guess it just isn't my kind of thing. I tried to think about what you were going at while creating the piece. Perhaps a description of the game/trailer you are referring to might help get me in a proper mindset. For now, work on trying to add some more feeling to the music. Make my soul flow with the music. +1 of 2
