Bassoon Duet

Hello there, Classical composition here. I'd like to apologize for taking up Duke_O_Hazrd's time away from Electronic music lately, I've been quite demanding.

Thanks for the apology Classical composition!

For those out there that don't know I am currently a Music Composition major at Sam Houston State University. I have been on a tight schedule lately trying to come up with some more music for my jury, which needed to have a total of 8 minutes of music. So I decided to write a duet!

Bassoon is an interesting instrument with a rich sound, so I decided that that would be my instrument of choice. This is not a recording of it being played, just some VSTi instruments being used in FL Studio 10.

I hope you like my newest classical piece!

PS: I know a lot of you will think that this piece may be a bit strange, "out there" even and not like it. To be honest though this piece is actually pretty tame compared to some others that I have been required to write. Composers have been going farther and farther away from traditional classical these days. Most are now "modernists" which is waaaaaaay weirder than what you are/have been listening to. Honestly I don't care too much for these modernists, but unfortunately the school of music's composition program is being run by them. So I decided to write a piece that is more "traditional" than modern, but still contains some modern aspects.

Bit strange for strangers

Ok, you need more then one kind of instruments to make classical music. I see that you dont have problem with talent, but I think that there is a lack of effort.

You need violins, drums, bass, And many more instruments with it. Take a look at Hamster-cake page. That is some good qualaty music! http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/402417 (one of my favorite)

Work on it. And you will learn new things.

DukeoOoHazrd responds:

O_O It's a duet, not an ensemble. But I've been working on some of those as well, they're just more modern than this one which is why I wanted to post it.

Thank you for the comment though!
