"Yesterday upon the stair
I saw a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
Oh! How I wish he'd go away!"

Exellent song

This is an simply amazing song in a twisted kind of way between horror and sock rockin' and a bit of tranquility. (personaly a song i use when i'm about to sleep, in a lower sound level, like hearing it in the background)

Though my personal interpetation of these lines alone goes like this:

A man with a psychosis where the man he saw was actualy himself, as the man realizes this, towards the end of the song he takes his own life in in a manner the listener thinks most dramatic.

Since he wished him to go away all along.

Well executed and a good mix. 10 out of the square route of hundred

Had a good one!

very good! the beat is very well done, energetic like, and so are the vocals. the piano parts were excellent, adding a lot to the song. The breaks between the vocals are played well, with enough mix up, so it's not as monotonous as it portrays to be.

Do you happen to know the name of the poem, or what it is? It just sounds cool. Every person ive repeated the poem too, either laughs and say "That. is. AWSOME! :D" or stares at me and is like "but... if he isn't there... how does he see him? and how can he go away?"
It amuses me a lot :D

ArtificialFear responds:

Wow! Thanks for the awesome feedback! The poem is based on this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antigoni sh_%28poem%29

Oh my god yes!

This song is just beautiful. i could totaly imagin this being in a violent movie while someone is walking down an ally. you have heela talent. easily the best i have heard one newgrounds.

how would you even.......

What is the audio track sampled from, and how does this song work?

ArtificialFear responds:

It's actually not sampled at all. I recorded the piano parts and the vocals. It's based on an old poem that I found very creepy. In the song, the poem is repeated in sections over and over again.

I don't know how to describe it

but I just really like what you've done here.

ArtificialFear responds:

Thanks! I was going for something unique/creepy/groovy. Thanks for the feedback!
