I re-arranged it to sound more awesome.

Ever wondered what "X vs Zero" from Megaman X5 would've sounded like on the SNES? Well, here's my attempt at giving you exactly that. It's kind of old, despite me releasing it just now. Enjoy though! This particular remix was made using Megaman X1 and Megaman X2/3 instruments

duh duh duh duh da da DAAnn DAANN!

Lol. beginning always sounded funny no matter what version it I've listened to. I know exactly why, but I can't explain it to you. The best part of this song is :44= 1:06.

This song doesn't transpose as well in 16 bit. I would like to hear you transpose

I see what you were going for here, although quite frankly I do not like the sound of this. The long notes and short staccato notes don't quite mix well together throughout the song. I also find the percussion quite lacking. The SNES is capable of much better sounding drums.

I felt a better sound could have been achieved here.
I like that it seems to come together at this part, but soon enough it falls back into unbalanced chaos.

Good attempt, though I believe it could use some cleaning up. The use of the early X instruments was a nice touch. Balance everything out, re-arrange note lenghts and melodies, put more oomph into the drums, and I believe it would be much better than this. Cheers!

Sorry the mix was nostalgic and built using the limited hardware of the time. I'd normally cheat a bit more by using multiple sets of instruments which was completely impossible on the SNES since instrument sets were on the cartridges, and not the SNES itself, but I deliberately restricted myself to early Megaman instruments, which do not necessarily have the best drums or even the best instrument set by a long shot. (In fact, the only thing remotely awesome about the Megaman X instruments were their guitars.)

Yeah I was already pushing the hardware past it's limit when I made this. I don't know what to tell you. Your advice sort of goes against what I was going for. Meh.

I won't lie.

I thought it was going to sound kind of lame during the beginning, but nearing :40 it just sounded really awesome. I loved how you used those sounds. Even though I am not a critic, there are some parts of the song that sounded really dull in comparison too other notes. 'Overall I liked this song. A remix one of my favorite moments in the series.
