Here's an old song of mine. I posted a work in progress (http://www.newgrounds.co m/audio/listen/340005) ages ago and people said it had a lot of potential, so I had continued it, but then my computer died and I lost the project file so I can't continue it. It's actually quite a cinematic piece, and I'm quite proud of the atmosphere, but having said that this is a pretty old song and therefore it'll sound quite amateur.
I think this uses East/West for everything except the drums which are all random drum samples and the strings which are Monster Staccatos for Kontakt. I'm not sure though because this was made so long ago :P.
Anyway, I'm submitting it so it won't lie around useless in my hard drive. Hope you enjoy, and check out my other recent works because this is really old :(.
Great cinematic song. I really like the pacing of it.
I've had this sitting around in my library for a while, waiting for a proper use. Considered using it in a trailer or something, but never had one that fit with the music. Finally used it in my Demo Reel. Made sure to give you credit, as well.
Dramatic and epic! Frkin lovely! East/west you say? I will have to investigate these samples, mwuahaha! They sound awesome! 0.0 Super cinematic and ultimate man...I really dig the marracas? that shakey thing that comes in every once in a while, that is a really nice touch! And the choir thing, amateur as it sounds, is composed wonderfully! Very perfect melodies, piano touches are wonderful! SO many little touches little details, it all really comes together extremely well! Your swell up to 1:05 and the breakout after is amazing! Great piece man! Greatness!
"Dramatic and epic! Frkin lovely! East/west you say? I will have to investigate these samples, mwuahaha!"
Oh, you should! East/West doesn't come cheap but it has been by far the investment that was worth it the most music-wise. I feel like I'm owning an orchestra with that VST.
"They sound awesome! 0.0"
Yup, the East/West samples are recorded from real instruments. Really makes a difference!
"Super cinematic and ultimate man..."
Ultimate, huh? :D Thanks! You're making me feel like continuing this song now, but I know I can't since it's so old and I lost its project file...

That shakey thing is indeed a maraca. I like using shakers/maracas in my orchestral/soundtrack songs.
"And the choir thing, amateur as it sounds, is composed wonderfully!"
Thank you :3. That choir comes from East/West and I love its sound. I used it in like 3 of my submissions so far, lol.

Those points are some of the reasons why I wish I could continue this. All the little details make a pretty good atmosphere and if my computer hadn't died I would've probably finished this song by now...
Nah I know it's not Classical. Far from it - however it does use Classical instruments and since there's no Soundtrack section (which is what this song is) I can't really label it under anything else except Miscellaneous...
I don't know about the bass, I thought it was pretty bassy, but hey I'm deaf from one ear, what do I know? :P. At 1:36 it clips a lot - that's probably what's wrong.
Even if I had been stuck in the desert with no water for a month, I would still pee my pants every time I heard this song. Basically the best song ever, no big deal. Incredible work.
