Electronic - Ambient

Author Comments

Wasn't sure what genre to tag this under. Although it has an up beat, I still find it peaceful and soothing, so I stuck it in with ambient. I would call this song a pyramid kind of song. It has a build-up and I mirrored that effect on the other side. Took about 7 hours to complete. Let me know what you think of it in a review. Thanks for listening.

Excellent work; first thing I've downloaded off of Newgrounds in quite a while. Very bittersweet sound, with a heavy undercurrent of sad. Reminds me quite a bit of "Sadja's Soul" (another song on the Portal) but slower and more reserved.

Also, this loops phenomenally well--was that intentional? Props if it was, means I can keep this going while I read.

Thank you! I'm really glad that you like it. Answering your question: I basically wanted to end this song with what I started with. In the description, I mentioned a "pyramid kind of song" which builds up to a peak and reverses to an ending. Luckily, that made the song loop better. Thanks again for the review!

Awesome, awesome job dude.

It's gems like these that made me get an account here. I gotta let you know how good you're doing man, keep it up. Love the drum track you used, sounds sick.

Thanks! Yeah, I tend to create slower and more emotional music on bad days than on good ones. I leave happy techno music for the good days. Thank you again for the review!

The peak was good

The peak was great, but the slope on each end was pure elevator music. It might be better to maybe start slow and then go right into it and stay there for most of the song. It seems like a lot of effort was put into, making it less interesting to accomplish some sort of peaceful effect.
