Paradise on E, Freemix

So this was a totally unplanned remix. I started intending to make an original song and up until 1:01 nothing was supposed to sound like anything else.
At which point I said to myself, this sounds like Paradise on E. . .

And so I remixed it! I would have liked to been able to add more but this 7 year old computer's CPU was being drained heavily by what I had so far.

None of the notes were taken from Midi or "pulled" from anything and this was done without listening to the original. Hence "Freemix"

Enjoy!

Damn, son

It always lifts my spirits so much when I get good reviews from people who are much, much better than me. xD

I definitely enjoyed this, man. I agree with Livewire in that it's not very aggressive or "dancy," as you put it, but as it is I don't think it needs to be very hard. It's a beautiful song pretty much carried by the melody, and it's more of an arrangement than a beat with synths, if that makes sense.

Keep up the good work.

Omega-Ravager responds:

Wow! Glad you like it!

It does make sense, the way the song is structured it not around the melody, but the entire song carries part of the melody (At least that is the intention)

That way, everything doesn't just add ear candy but an important element to the song.

I'm flattered by your comments, thanks for taking the time to listen to my music!

Instrumentation, mainly

This had great musical ideas, and the instrument choice at times was cool, but unfortunately a lot of the instruments you chose just weren't strong enough to carry the song. Everything sounds like accompaniment, so while I love your chord progression and your melodies and all, it just doesn't make me want to dance because it's all so subdued. I'd love to hear this once it's sounding more powerful. By the way, what program are you using?

Omega-Ravager responds:

Thanks for some constructive critique!

I use Fl 9 (demo till I finish High School. . .)
I was planning on doing some more with it but at 1:30 and anywhere that sounds like that it was drawing over 50% CPU power, and it's hard to decide what notes sound good with everything when it's crackling like crazy (I need a new comp, the list is being put together for it now :|)

When I get the full version I plan on making this song even more epic!

It wasn't quite as dancy as it could've been because I didn't plan on remixing Paradise on E till halfway through.

The synth I used for the main melody as I brought it in I realized that the notes I was using were almost the same as it so I said "Ah what the heck" and put it together.

Glad you like what I have so far.

I've never heard Paradise on E

But it sounds cool.

^ That is B0unc3's paradise song (I think that's the original) I'm not sure, there were like 8000 remixes for it but it's an awesome song.
