Hello again, NG! This is the ninth of 26 submissions (or so) that I'll upload this year for a project entitled Project 26: Submission a Week. This project is in collaboration with NG user Chocosoda (check him out!) Each other week in 2011, I'll upload a musical piece for a total of 26.
February's gone, but while I prep the arrangements from FFVIII, it's still FFIX month (sorta)! This was another week where Choco couldn't record due to work/school conflicts, so this one's another solo effort from me.
This is the boss theme (also called "Battle II" in most FF games) from FFIX, done in the "march" style from my earlier FFVII march arrangements. While it's not composed for a marching band (or in the style of a real march for that matter), a concert band could feasibly play musical selections such as these in a concert of marches. It features tubas, baritones, ATB saxophones, bass and alto clarinets, flutes, trumpets, trombones, French horns, vibraphone and percussion.
It's quite the wild ride, just like a battle theme should be.
