a chill dubstep song ive been workin on finally out, tell me what you thought, any critisim is appreciated with reason.
Minimalist in a bad way
Your drums are WAY to much towards the front of your mix. They're causing my speakers to have issues. The punchiness is just too much.
There is not a whole lot going on melodically, nothing to hook anyone in with. I think it's a bit too minimalistic to really work. There are some good background ideas, just work on creating a better foreground.
the reason it seems so minimalistic is because a friend of mine is going to rap/sing over it, so that may answer your questions about the melodic work
as far as the mastering of the track goes it sounds fine on my end but i could see how the drum section could be a pit punchy considering i didnt EQ them properly, thanks for the review.
