Hello again, NG! This is the eighth of 26 submissions (or so) that I'll upload this year for a project entitled Project 26: Submission a Week. This project is in collaboration with NG user Chocosoda (check him out!) Each other week in 2011, I'll upload a musical piece for a total of 26.

We've come to the end of February, and that means it's still FFIX month! I'm also feeling better; unfortunately, Choco had no time to record the work I prepared. That's OK; I'm submitting TWO pieces tonight.

The second of tonight's double feature is "Freya ~ Lancer," an arrangement of "Freya's Theme." It's got a very ambient vibe to it, from the percussion selection to the sustain on the instruments to the rhythmic switch/break halfway through. It doesn't sound hollow like "Vivi ~ Black Mage," yet there is still something missing in our dear lancer's heart -- her lover, who left Burmecia long ago.

I wanted to mix a battle theme from each game every month, but due to time constraints, it won't be done in time for February. Besides, I already gave you FFIX's main battle theme. :3 But if you like battle themes, next month should give you what you love.
