This is better than my mom's best cooking.
And dude, her best cooking is pretty damn rad.
So you get full score from me, because this is just simply awesome.
Hello again, NG! This is the seventh of 26 submissions (or so) that I'll upload this year for a project entitled Project 26: Submission a Week. This project is in collaboration with NG user Chocosoda (check him out!) Each other week in 2011, I'll upload a musical piece for a total of 26.
We've come to the end of February, and that means it's still FFIX month! I'm also feeling better; unfortunately, Choco had no time to record the work I prepared. That's OK; I'm submitting TWO pieces tonight.
The first of tonight's double feature is "Vivi ~ Black Mage," a combination of "Alexandria" and "Black Mage Village." It's in a very indie rock sort of feel, shuffling when it reaches "Black Mage Village." In keeping to the source tune (and staying true to our favorite little fireballing automaton), the arrangement is very hollow; lots of reverb and not a lot of middle tones.
TIME/TEMPO: 3'42"/180 BPM (4/4 time)
KEY: Bb Major/C Major
ORIGINAL THEME: "Alexandria" and "Black Mage Village" by Nobuo Uematsu
MIDI TRANSCRIPTION: "JefferyAtW" at VGMusic.com
SOUNDFONTS USED (* denotes a new soundfont):
-Yamaha Custom Drum Kit (Snares On, Sticks, Soprano & Snares On, Sticks, Soprano SD Extras)
-Bass Multiple Rock*
-Piano Electronic Wurlitzer*
Guitars recorded (both recorded into Zynewave Podium Free using a Line-6 POD2 via Behringer Guitar-to-USB):
-Epiphone Custom Shop Silverburst Les Paul
-1972 Fender Silverburst Stratocaster
Enjoy! Don't forget to leave a review and check out my other works -- and also check back to see the remixed version at the end of the month. Subscribe to the RSS feed of my submissions so you don't miss one! :D

What I lack in punctuality, I more than make up for in musical execution, I guess. :D
Thanks for your review, Shawn.
Me Gusta.
Me gusta mucho esta canción. Para que usted pueda decir que esta presentación es malo, debe tener las patatas en los oídos. Gracias y mantener el buen trabajo!
¡Que buena historia, hermano!
Seriously though, Dogapiller, for someone who took Spanish in high school, your conjugation sucks. Thanks for your review, though.
No se
Está como mala.
No habla espanol, muchacho.
EDIT: Thanks to Google Translate and the help of a few other friends who speak Spanish, I have to say: What's bad about this piece? This is why I hate short reviews; they don't help me at all. Why not explain it more clearly next time, amigo?
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
