Loved The Introduction! Has its own twist

I agree with kubawpl. The beginning doesn't sound like it goes too well with tetris to me. He is also right about 2:19 to 2:25 that part is like really doesn't belong in this song...BUT everything else is really good.

Nakisima responds:

Fair enough, mate. I couldn't think of another way to start other than jumping straight into the theme, which I thought would have been a little boring. 2:19 to 2:25 is part of the original "Song B" from Tetris, so I had to find some way of getting it in. Thanks for the comment,

-Nakisima

Pretty good, I only don't like the beginning and part from 2:19 to 2:25.

Nakisima responds:

Thanks bud. The introduction was the only way I could think of to build up to the main theme, and to make it sound like a proper, structured song; as opposed to just the themes being repeated one after the other. It would sound a little empty without, I thought. The end of "Song B" that you highlighted isn't something I wrote, by the way; it's in the original. I couldn't claim to have composed an "ultimate" tetris compilation without the whole thing :) Thanks for commenting!

Good, but I think there are too many percussion instruments. I'd also like to see a place in the song where it all comes together, all instruments playing at once; the "high-lighted" part; If you had to choose one portion of the song for an epic dance party scene in a movie, that's the one you would choose.
This is probably just my style, but these are some things people usually like to see.
Hope this helped!

Nakisima responds:

I'm slightly confused as to what you mean by "too many percussion instruments", I only put in one drum track. No matter how many times I listen in full and skip to parts, I still can't see it :\
The "high-lighted" part you mentioned is, surprisingly to you, perhaps, present throughout the track. Even the guitar you can hear clearly at the end is supporting the chord structure maintained by the bass at most points. It was just either too centered on treble; which meant upping the bass and was unpleasing to hear, or it was balanced and you couldn't quite hear everything at once. You can't down the treble and up the master volume as that messes with the balance of the rest of the track. I chose the latter of the possible options, purely because I'd rather have instruments in the background rather than a balanced bass suddenly jumping into mad super-bass. It was in reality, a really difficult problem to solve. Maybe it's a sign of my poor mixing skills, but at the time of production I did have a long hard think about it, and to be honest I'm glad someone brought it up. There were a few comments that pointed out a lack of climax, and this one hit it on the nose! Thanks,

-Nakisima
