Sonic 1 - Special Zone Piano

Download this song!

Author Comments

This is a piano arrangement of the Special Zone BGM from the 1991 video game Sonic the Hedgehog. Certainly gives this a tune a more classical feel to it, if I do say so myself.

This is a collaboration between me and John Weeks.

MIDI Sequenced by John Weeks. Piano arrangement by Dr. Mack Foxx.

MIDI modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.

DrMackFoxx responds:

It definitely took a lot of practice to clear the Special Zones in Sonic 1, especially back then when that game was brand new and nothing like it had ever been released. Thank you very much for another great review and I'm glad you enjoyed this tune. :)

it is from Reploid deployment Loop...well, i quess it's nice to have a long and a loop version of the same song ;) and this song was just perfect to say about this because this is not for my tastes so i'l give an 8 as you can see but for hard work, i'l vote 5 for you

DrMackFoxx responds:

Sometimes you bewilder me.

At any rate, thank you for another great review score and I'm glad you enjoyed this track. :)

Love it

Strange thing is ,though, that the original song sounds a lot like the music from Davey Jones' locket but this one loses that.

That's a very interesting observation. I'll have to track down some clips from that movie and give them a good analysis. Glad you love this song and thank you yet again for another great review! :)
