I haven't done an acoustic track in awhile so I was like eh, fuck it, put one together. Hope you guys like it!

The sky lets the oceans dry up
The tide disappeared without warning

In our wildest days we have been
Drowning in our conflict
Since our visions wage wars we let them
Lead our friends to our foes

Look, there we are with the stars
To soar, and discover is vital

But our wildest thoughts prevent the
Progression of the people
Since our moving ideals are buried
We can't dig up our knowledge

Cosmos, guide us away
Lunar shove takes our day
Starstruck, I float away

Inside ourselves, we carry
Centuries of wisdom
Yet our world, we call home is bleeding
I doubt that we'll be okay
In our childish ways we push for
The death of the poor and the scared

(Take us from home) x2
(Swim into the stars) x2

I really like this. It's very airy and captures you right away. Nice guitar work, unique sounding. You have a great voice, especially in that spot right before your break. The criticism I have is that some of the harmonies are off. You might just want to brush up on some harmonic theory or listen to some great harmonizing bands.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. :)

It reminds me of The Bends mixed with U2 sort of. With its own unique sound, though. I especially like that first ghostly guitar solo, it sort of sounds like Radiohead's much coveted ondes martenots, but with a little Jimmy Page dirt.

Lyrics are thought provoking, makes me think of Carl Sagan and The Cosmos. :)

Kor-Rune responds:

Yeah, I think I know what you mean about some of the harmonies, especially now that I'm hearing this in speakers. When I tried the seventh on the second time I say "days", I see that it's a little off time. I'll quit being lazy and get in the booth and put more takes into it, thanks for the spot!

Glad you like it! I do love some Carl Sagan! This song was particularly inspired by the tale of Apollo 13. Thanks for the review! c:
