I loved when you combined the electronic effects with the drum n bass at 1:07.
And the change at 1:57 - Awesome!

my advice is just to plan a piece before you go for it.
Thats what has helped me most.
Try making all your sounds and drum kits first before you start to get going, and once you do get going, know where the chords are going.
Thats my advice.
I cant help you much with Reason 4. I use mixcraft :)
